VoIP

VoIP stands for Voice over internet protocol. This can be done over mobile phones or computers as long as they have access to the internet or for instants the mobile will need 3G so it can use the internet. You may also use the landline but if you are using the landline you will have to make sure that the phone is plugs into the modem. When using VoIP it i9s free but you VoIP provider may charge you for their services; this may be monthly or buy the minute or they may just charge you to sign up. The disadvantages about this are if your internet connection or VoIP service provider is temporarily unavailable then call cannot be made. If your internet connection is slow then the whole conversation will be delay due to this fault.

IM

IM stands for instant messaging this is a form of real time messaging between two or more people. Instant messaging services are things like texting, Blackberry messenger, WATS app, Facebook also have a sort IM service. Quick and easy is they reason that many people use instant messaging and if you are using IM it is mostly free unless you are texting then you service providers charges texting fees. Some instant messaging services are free like WATS app you just have to download it on you mobile and it is free but you have to have and internet connection.
