Desktop computer
A Desktop computer is a computer that has to remain in one place when operating. It is bigger than any other type of computer. Every computer has a CPU which means central processing unit. The CPU is the main brain of the computer. The main part of the computer is the tower which contains everything. Many things can be connected to the tower things like a monitor, a mouse, a keyboard and printers etc.


 

 Laptop

The main difference between a desktop is that the laptop is portable and can be taken anywhere. The desktop computer takes power from the mains where as you have to charge a laptop whenever it runs out. The laptop contains the same things as a desktop you can create word document and surf the internet.




Netbook

These are made primarily for surfing the internet and checking emails. The hard drive is much smaller than a computers and a laptops so this makes the weaker than the two. This does not contain an optical disk drive. All netbooks on the market are equipped with Wi-Fi and are able to use mobile broadband. These are much smaller than a laptop.

 

 
PDA

PDA stands for personal digital assistant. This is a small hand held device that can be used to call people and send text messages to people. This is a phone and a computer built into one so that it is convenient for business men
